Ramsey and Pushpa's remedy

Ramsey’s remedy: I am Chinese and I was born in Hong Kong. From my family or my ancestors we know that there are good benefits from eating chilli. The chilli is good for people living in wet or damp humidity areas as it can dry away the pathogenic dampness of the body, it is good for sweating out colds and flus. Chilli helps you to digest your food because it stimulates your stomach.

Pushpa’s remedy: For cataract, take one teaspoon of chilli powder and one tomato and blend to make a sauce, eat daily with food for two to three weeks.

Origin: Native to the Americas since at least 7500 BC, and were first cultivated in Mexico more than 6,000 years ago.

History, myths and legends: Chilli was introduced to Asia by the Portuguese traders and Columbus encountered them in the Caribbean.

Remedies: Chillies relieve congestion, provide relief from headaches, migraine and aid in keeping a healthy heart. Chillies can alleviate the pain in arthritis.
